Day 107 1/26/10 Tuesday
I have eczema! Stupid chemo and incessant handwashing… The dermatologist noticed that none of my current medications or cancer status was in the computer. Strange. Anyway, she told me I looked good, gained some weight (pooh) and we caught up on our personal lives. Yes, THIS is why I love all my doctors in this network and will drive 20 miles out there. Sigh.

ReplyDeleteI had trouble with my hands during chemo too! I started using L'occitane Hand Cream. I used to hate the stuff before, I couldn't get past the smell, but I found one that was sakura/flowery scent.
I had to avoid washing my hands so much because I developed hand-foot syndrome during my first rounds of chemo. I ended up having to use that antibacterial lotion/gel crud (which was VERY drying)!
I completely understand how you feel about the weight gain. It was incredibly tough. The steroids they had me on made me snack constantly! 2am? Asleep? Nah, totally standing in front of the freezer grabbing for the ice cream.
